How to hide a folder present on desktop

Taken aback by the title...! Hold your breath and follow me doing this. This windows trick is very simple to perform and very easy to master. You'll be fascinated by the outcomes. So, why to wait, let's get started.

First of all, for this trick to work correctly you have to change your wallpaper to a dark one. Any wallpaper with dark shades(preferably close to black) will work just fine.

Assuming that you have performed the above step, right click on the folder you want to hide. From the popup select rename or alternatively left click once to select and press f2 key. At the time of renaming delete all the text of previous name and press alt+255 and hit the enter key.

Now you'll find that the folder has an empty name. If so, the proceed to next step otherwise follow the previous step carefully.

Right click on the folder from which you have removed name recently and then go to properties window. From the properties window select customise tab and select change icon. Shortly, a mini-window will open with the collections of all icons that Windows keeps by default. In the 13th column, you'll find a blank set of three icons. Choose any of them and press ok. Press Ok again to finalise and close the properties window. Refresh your screen to see changes. For better results place this hidden icon in the dark area of your wallpaper affected screen.
