Step 1:- Go to Google Drive and first locate and then select the file that you want to update. If your files are highly unmanaged use search.

Step 3:- Now click on 'Upload new version' button. This will take you to browser, there locate the new version of the file to the update file to the Google Drive.

And Hurrah! the file name and the file’s Url have retained and now all the old shared links will automatically be transferred to the new version of your file.
