How to disable write caching by Windows on USB drives

Have you ever thought why sometimes Windows asks you to scan and fix errors before using it when to plug your USB drive? Does the movie that you borrowed from your friend in pen drive doesn't play or plays incompletely? Can you guess why?

You often just simply plug out your USB drive without giving ejecting command from 'Safely remove hardware notification icon' considering it of no use. But dear reader Windows isn't bitten by any Labrador breed dog so that it gives you useless options. I will explain you in this post of what importance this process is and how to remove this formal procedure.

Windows uses a feature called write-caching on the device to improve the performance of your drive (flash). By default this feature is disabled, but being a mischievous user you sometimes enable this without knowing its consequences. And you face such type of problems. If you're too busy to use this feature then you might have to disable it. How? Just follow me doing this.

First of all plug your USB. After plugged open My Computer/This PC/Computer select your drive and right click on it, select properties, in the properties window, select hardware. In hardware section find your USB drive in the list click to select. After you have selected it select properties that is present on the lower right corner in the same window. Then a new window will appear click on change setting which is present on the lower left corner. Accept the conformation message by User Account Control. There you will find a new window, in this window, select the policies option from the top. Now you have your option choose first that asks to disable the write-caching and the click OK to finish and you have successfully disabled the writing caching on USBs.
