How to copy videos recorded by set-top box to your PC

Have you ever tried to copy videos recorded by your setup box to your PC? If yes, then you must be familiar with the fact that your USB drive is not recognised by Windows and the OS asks you to format your drive. Finding yourself hopeless you just acknowledge the demand of your OS. Thus, you found that your video files are not copied.

Firstly, one should ask a question that why Windows is unable to recognise the flash drive? It is because your live recording device is a UNIX based device and it formats your device with XFS file system that cannot be recognised by Windows (recall that your USB drive is formatted by default with the FAT32 file system and your hard drives are formatted with NTFS file system). Therefore, it is straightforwardly impossible for you to view your video files recorded by your recorder on Windows. Here comes a trick to do it.

First of all, you have to make Windows understand the files system and this is directly impossible.

 Therefore, you have to download an app for this purpose called "Part Recovery Tool Kit" (Actually this app is not built specially for this purpose).

After downloading it install to your Windows PC and, then plug your USB in which you have recorded, open the Tool Kit and find your USB, then run a super scan by right clicking on it.

Then recover it where you want.
