Step 1:- First ensure you have the updated version of WhatsApp. You may get it ensured from PlayStore.
Step 2:- Once got the app updated open it and click on three dots on right top to select "New Broadcast".
Step 3:- Now select a few of friends and also select the guy to test. Here type some text and send it.
Step 4:- Now open the personal chat with the specific number to check. Here again send some dummy message and wait till the second message is received i.e wait till the user to be tested is online.
Step 5:- Now as the second message has been received, you can see a double tick in front of it. Now to check if he/she have added you to the contacts list, check the condition of the first message. Yeah if even the first message sent through the broadcast has been received(i.e have double ticks) you are in the contacts list. But if the message sent through broadcast has not been received, you are not in his/her contact list.
