Updates of any app keep arriving very often and PlayStore, automatically downloads them and keep you updated. But this put you on risk of new updates getting more permissions than last version and all without much of your knowledge. This also cause huge data consumption. Say you play some heavy game and it's update arrive then PlayStore will update it causing heavy data charges too. Same occurred to me when 7 GB of my data was consumed in one night because PlayStore updated 15 of apps and around 5 games more than 1 GB each.
So if you prefer to read through app permissions and save your data then it's better manually pick which app updates to adopt with new permissions the need. You can, but first you need to disable your automatic app updates. So let's get started stepwise:-
Step 2:- Tap on Auto-update apps.
Step 3:- Choose Do not auto-update apps.
If you want to enable the auto updates, follow the same path and choose Auto-update apps at any time or via WiFi (available for certain Android devices only).
Hope this helped you deal with your problem and made your device easier to use for you.
