VLC {stands for Video LAN Client} is a powerful media player for playing videos, movies, music, or simply any type of common media.
A special feature of the VLC is that it isn't extension-friendly player viz. you can play you can play all types of media without thinking about their formats.
That's exactly as it sounds if you want to check its validity venture for an experiment, remove the extension from your media file and the play it......
The latest version of VLC also provides resume support which was not present in previous versions.
First of all to utilize its full feature unlock its advanced controls bar. Right-click on the blank space in the VLC window, select view from the pop-up and then select advanced controls.
After that, you will see four new buttons as shown above.
Record: The first one is used to record a clip from the playing media. For this just click on the record button to start and also to end the recording. The video media will be recorded in mp4 format and audio in mp3.
Take a snapshot: The second one is for taking a snapshot, as soon as you click on this button then the frame (current) will be captured instantly.
Repeat: The next button you will find as a repeat for looping the video or music files between two-time instances (Let A and b).
Frame by frame: This button enables you to see video files frame by frame. For this, you have to click on this button repeatedly.
These buttons come with the advanced controls feature provided by VLC.
