How to restrict users to remain logged in for a fixed time interval in Windows

Sometimes as an admin we want to restrict other users from using our PC for a desired and fixed period of time. And in some cases, we can't straightforward ask them to do so. Here's a solution to this problem:-you can restrict usage time of any user, but how? Don't worry just follow me doing this.

First of all, you have to open Command Prompt with administrator privileges.

 To do so <<search for it in the Search bar provided at the bottom left of your desktop. Right click on Command Prompt and choose the option Run As Administrator>>-- For windows 10 users.

Or, if you are still a user of 8 or 8.1, then right click on the Windows logo button or start and select Command Prompt(Admin).

After you've opened the Command Prompt type the code and hit enter

 

net user user name /times:M-F,8:00-18:00;Sa-Su,10:00-20:00 

This means, for the user account denoted by username, from Monday to Friday, the time is set from 11.00 AM to 8:00 PM. And, for Saturday and Sunday, the time is set from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. I have used a 24-hour format as they are the default time settings in my system. You can change the time settings in the command according to your convenience.

If you want to remove this restriction in future then first open Command Prompt(Admin) type the given command and hit enter.

net user username /times:all
