How to schedule shut down of your PC

Hello friends, here is a good trick to schedule shutdown your PC.

Sometimes it is necessary to schedule shutdown, just take an example if you're downloading an app of large size(let a PC game) and your download manager is telling that it will take four hours or so and you are not willing to wait idly before your screen for such a long time or you've other necessary works on your to-do list then you will probably need this trick.

Some download managers have the feature to select post download options but if your manager is not so smart or you want to outsmart your PC then follow me doing this.
To begin with first open notepad write the command give below:-

@echo off                          

shutdown -s -t 00

Note: - Be cautious while writing this code a slight mistake of blank space, hyphens or enter key can cause the code to not function.

After writing the code save it to a file name with {.bat} extension.

Also don't forget to select <<Save as type>> to <<All files> instead of text document.

After you have done all these then open Schedule tasks app.

In the Schedule tasks app window select create a task in the upper right corner.

 

In the new window opened to give the name and descriptions and click on triggers.

In the Triggers window click on new as highlighted.

In New Trigger window specify time and others as per you choice and click ok.

In create task window select new actions.

Click on browse.

Find your saved file and click ok.

Select conditions and finalize create task window by clicking on ok.

Now your task is ready for a run.

You can also specify the time in the seconds in code written in notepad by writing instead of t 00.

{For e.g.

@echo off

shutdown -s -t 08

will shut down your PC in 8 seconds.}
